Seeking the American experience through music in a classic car.
In February of 2011, Seattle-based filmmaker Grant Robinson set out in his 1961 Ford Falcon on a mission to explore the American Experience through it's music.
For over 10 weeks and 11,000 miles, Grant traveled around the country interviewing musicians - mostly in their homes - discussing topics from the history of their particular genre to "aunthenticity" in music.
Of course, no cross-country journey in a 50-year-old car is without its up and downs, and the inevitable misadventures became just as much a part of the quixotic quest.
The resulting film, Straight-Six Blues, is the product of endurance, the kindness of friends and strangers alike and a whole of heap of delusional inspiration.
